What is Cold Cure Live Rosin and why is it superior?

Really there are three parts to cold cure live rosin. First, what is rosin? Rosin is any concentrate that has been extracted using ONLY water. No BHO, no propane and absolutely zero solvents. Hash is then collected and placed in micron bags, that can be thought of like a cheese bag, in which is heat pressed in order to separate all plant materials, turning the product from water hash into rosin. So what makes it live?

A “live” concentrate is one that is extracted from fresh frozen material. This means immediately upon harvest buds are placed into harvest bags and immediately frozen. This preserves terpenes in a super state of freshness which in turn gives the final concentrate a presence of the live plants strain specific characteristics as if it was still alive on the plant, hinting where the “live” part comes in. So what is Cold Cure Live Rosin?

Now that we understand what Live Rosin is and where it comes from, Cold Cure is a method in which after the hash is pressed, it then all goes into a mason jar and is stored in a dark 60 degree room for up to 14 days in which the concentrate changes from fresh press form (which looks like shatter) into a cakey, wet-like, greasy consistency. Cold Cure is the most common as well as preferred rosin consistency due to its stableness, in which terpenes stay preserved much longer and does not require near as extensive care in order to maintain its freshness.

In the end it all comes down to personal preference as to what form each of us like to consume. Not one is particularly better than one another, they just offer different experiences and benefits from one another. Cold Cure is overall the easiest for consumers due to; Stability, Shelf Life, Overall Consistency, and easiness to keep, maintain and enjoy over the products life span.
